Fronte is pioneering in many ways as a small business including adding an option for click and collect. As a small business concerned with sustainability this makes a great deal of sense. We’re also proud to be aligned with the Click. Collect. Clean Air campaign by the Clean Air Better Business programme supported by the Major of London. For customers it can mean both convenience and a conscious move towards sustainability, and without having to pay a penny more since delivery is free.
With CollectPlus there are over 6,500 parcel points open seven days a week, early til late. 90% of people who live in the UK’s towns and cities are within one mile of a CollectPlus delivery point. Click here for the Store Locator
Opting for click & collect reduces your carbon footprint as the delivery driver will hand over multiple parcels to the store owner in a single trip. The Major of London, Sadiq Khan, is encouraging Londoners to make London the world’s first click and collect city. To deliver the estimated 189 million parcels within the M25 to homes by 2020 might require 1.4 million vans on London roads every year and 55% of consumers say there isn’t someone at home during the day to accept their deliveries. Over the course of a 10 hour shift, a regular delivery van can deliver 133 parcels to individual homes, versus 600 parcels to a consolidated parcel hub e.g. using CollectPlus.
In addition for deliveries within three miles of Brockley train station Fronte will endeavour, by first intent, to deliver all parcels by bicycle, reducing the carbon footprint for deliveries and enabling a healthier lifestyle!
